About Dental Insurances
For your convenience, we bill insurances for you. Dental insurances are very different from medical insurances. Unlike medical insurances, where most treatment is covered, most dental benefit plans contribute only a small amount. We tell our patients that dental benefits should be thought of as a discount for dental treatment.
Dental benefits have not changed since 1970.
Your Dental insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. We verify your coverages with the information you give to us. An estimate of what your plan might cover will be provided to you. We submit your claims as a courtesy to you. You are responsible for your estimated portion at the time of service. After we receive payment from your insurance company, any balance remaining will be your responsibility. On the otherhand, you’ll be issued a refund check if your benefits plan pays more than what was initially estimated for you.
